Nice catch there dear! Hey! I heard that thought going through your head, now now...Of course I'm refering to the dog! Who else would I be refering too? The handsome bloke on the bike you say? Why of course, I knew he must be Ira? Although, on this point I must comment...his parents should have given him a much more Aussie name, oh well...
Geographically challenged, sfl? No cyclone trouble on Danny's ranch...he lives in VICTORIA, not Queensland. ;)
Thank you both, Clair and sfl, for the comments; they manage to be both erroneous and entertaining. Danny is NOT from West Virginia or from Florida. And he can't be from both states, sfl, so make up your mind...if you can. I know that frunken shrontal lobe is acting up again.
And his name is most definitely not Ira Higgenbotham (*shudder*). Clair, do not let sfl delude you. I know you are way too smart for that. (You have had years of experience dealing with him, after all.)
sfl! You are just determined to discredit poor Danny, aren't you? Now just what proof do you have that Elbert and Becky Higginbotham's son is really named Ira? And if he really IS named Ira, what proof do you have that he is really my Danny? What proof do you have that Danny Perry changed his name, nationality, accent, personality, &c. in order to fool me into falling for him? What would be the point? Hmm? Answer me that!
Now, don't take this the wrong way. I really do appreciate your thoughtful parental concern. It's wonderful to know that someone is looking out for me and making sure I don't make a mistake. You are very kind, I'm sure, and I am infinitely obliged to you. The fact that you are sadly mistaken does not keep me from being grateful.
P.S. So how did good old Ira go from being in Florida to establishing a residence in Arizona? P.P.S. How did good old Ira's last name go from being spelt "Higgenbotham" to being spelt "Higginbotham"? Or did MSNBC make a teensy mistake with the spelling? Oh, what's that you say? You were the one who just happened to spell the name incorrectly? Hmm, what have we here? So you admit there could be a mistake in there somewhere? Well, if you admit to having made a mistake with the spelling of Ira's name, isn't it possible that you also could have made a mistake as to his true identity? (Ha, I love my job...there are advantages to being an editor.)
Looking forward to your attempt to squirm out of this one, Mary
